Our original stallion Fonzie, is one of the few remaining Henryville stallions left in the Canadian Horse breed. Accordingly, his bloodlines are very desirable, extremely rare and most importantly, in need of preservation.

Fonzie is primarily of Henryville breeding. This bloodline is well known for good disposition and quiet temperament.

Although of a very rare bloodline , he is not just good "on paper". Fonzie is a
beautifully built, intelligent, athletic, very kind, and exceptionally quiet and sweet natured
stallion. He has garnered himself quite the reputation across Canada and
the USA
for producing foals with these same qualities.
Because of his consistent ability to pass on his desirable characteristics, Fonzie has had breedings right across Canada and the US. We are also proud to say that we have many repeat clients who have been so delighted with their first foal from him, that they typically come back for more!
Fonzie
is quite the popular guy around the farm and
seems to have a passionate following of admirers throughout the province and
even across parts of Canada. He has has appeared as the "poster" horse for
the breed in several articles and equine books. He has also been the star of
many a heritage school report and project. Pretty much everyone
coming to the farm or seeing him at shows requests to see the "famous" Fonzie
first!
Fonzie has a real fondness for children. Whenever small children visit the farm and want a ride on one of our Canadians, Fonzie loves to be chosen for the task! When a child is put on his back, Fonzie will turn to look at them, sniff their foot to make sure they are stable, then will very very carefully walk away just like he is "walking on eggshells". If he feels they are the least bit unstable, he stops of his own accord, till they are safe again.

Although he is not consistently ridden, Fonzie is so good natured and athletic, he typically does very well at shows when we do take him. In 2005, he won Reserve Champion stallion at both the BC Interior Canadian Horse show, and the Interior Provincial Exhibition. He did equally well at the IPE again in 2007, as did his offspring.
His appeal is not just confined to the Canadian Horse breed shows, as he can hold his own in an open show as well. Fonzie also won Champion Sport Pony type stallion, and Champion Sport Pony type Overall, at the 2005 Interior Provincial Exhibition and placed second in this same class in 2007.
This photo
was taken on Fonzie's first day under saddle.
He was so calm and quiet, our
trainer decided to see how
unflappable he really was - needless to say, this
picture says it all!
